Telecommunications Data Processing and Advertisement Organisation Limited Company, TeleData Kft. was established in 1991 by Matáv Hungarian Telecommunications Ltd. (today Magyar Telekom Telecommunikations Company Ltd.) and the Nuremberg-based German company Gesellschaft für Telecommunication mbH. (GfT).
Based on a contract concluded with MATÁV, in 1991 the German company GfT won the exclusive right to publish telephone directories in Hungary. In order to perform this activity, Gft established the Hungarian Telephone Directory Publishing Company (MTT) and TeleData Kft for the purpose of handling telephone directory databases.
The main activities of TeleData Kft.:
• processing of the subscriber database for issuing lists of names
• carrying out direct marketing,
• publication of telephone directory CD-s,
• sale of printed and CD telephone directories..
In addition to the official Hungarian telephone directories and the Yellow Pages publications, we provide assistance in the publishing of the similar publications of Austrian and Slovenian publishers, both in printed and electronic format. Our scope of activities also covers the exclusive marketing and distribution of printed and electronic telephone directories published by MATÁV and MTT. Being the publisher and distributor of the National CD Telephone Directory known by the name TeleTár, we are the market leader on the Hungarian market of electronic telephone directories. With this product our Company won the Premier Prize of the Budapest International Fair in 1993.

The main channel for the distribution of the telephone directories is our mail-order service. We perform the above activities on the basis of the MSZ EN ISO 9001:2009 quality assurance system, attestation of which was obtained in 2000 and is regularly re-validated.
Our Company is member of various trade organisations, such as the Association of the Hungarian Content Providers and the Direct Marketing Association.
